Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Short-Term Trainings (STT)

ABH Academic Journey (with Cohorts and Graduate Numbers)

ABH Partners has played a trailblazing role in expanding postgraduate education in Ethiopia, fostering strategic academic collaborations to address pressing national workforce needs. Our academic journey began with the MBA and MPH programs, launched in partnership with Jimma University. These programs have so far trained professionals across six cohorts, equipping them with leadership, management, and analytical skills crucial for Ethiopia’s development sectors.

Building on this momentum, we introduced specialized programs in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Human Nutrition, responding to the growing demand for experts who can track impact and improve community health outcomes. Across three M&E cohorts and two Nutrition cohorts, we have trained many professionals who now serve in key roles in NGOs, government, and academia. Recognizing the need for financial and project leadership, we launched the MA in Project Management and Finance, enrolling in two cohorts.

This was followed by the Executive MBA in Agribusiness, a unique program designed for mid- to senior-level professionals in Ethiopia’s growing agri-sector. The first intake in 2019/20 welcomed 27 professionals, most of whom hold leadership roles in agribusiness institutions. In a bold expansion, ABH also introduced the undergraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) program in 2018/19, supporting national healthcare human resource strategies.

The program trained two cohorts of medical doctors progressing through preclinical and clinical phases. Cumulatively, ABH’s academic wing has trained over 1700 professionals across graduate and undergraduate programs, creating a legacy of evidence-informed leadership and institutional capacity development. These achievements reflect ABH’s unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and national development laying the foundation for the transformation into Alliance Academy.
